Aurora is a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated with her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. She has spent the last 15 years volunteering her time working on social skills with teens and young adults with autism spectrum disorder, and she also has two daughters of her own who are on the high-functioning end of the spectrum.
In her practice, Aurora is dedicated to helping adults from 18 to 108 using a client-centered approach. Aurora also incorporates other evidence-based techniques such as CBT, DBT, EFT, and ACT, as well as strengths-based and mindfulness/meditative approaches. She specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families that struggle with their ability to communicate effectively, as well as with clients who struggle with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, trauma, PTSD, and relationship issues.
Aurora is a compassionate, caring, and a nonjudgmental counselor who strives to build strong relationships with her clients. Aurora is available for in-person sessions in the Lombard office.
